Hopping in our wayback machine, I have to reminisce about the days when BR had pith helmets and a Jeep sticking out of the front of every store. It changed a little after Gap bought it. Now it is more sedate work clothes but I have to admit, I still like it. Banana Republic (or Old Navy) long sleeve T-shirts are a staple for my wardrobe in winter. If I need a suit for a conference at the last minute, yep, I'm at a Banana Republic store at the local mall to get one. And BR is always good for a few button downs every year.
