Peanut Man

I'm sitting at Dodger Stadium watching a horrible game. They just pulled the pitcher after one and a third innings and 4 runs and the reliever gave up 2 runs on his first batter. But there is hope for pitching.

I just bought peanuts from the famous Roger Owens aka the Peanut Man. If you've never seen him, it's worth the trip to Dodger Stadium to buy peanuts from him. He can hit you from two aisles and several rows away pitching behind the back. He has more (and better) pitches than the entire Dodger bullpen tonight.

If you live too far away, buy Roger's book The Perfect Pitch.

I want a new owner. If Roger can't be the owner, can he at least take over as General Manager... he understands the heart of this team and its fans.

It's that time for cashmere

Now that Fall is upon us and temperatures start to drop, it is time to make that transition to your Fall/Winter wardrobe. And the staple fabric of every cold weather wardrobe is undoubtebly cashmere, but many people don't own any cashmere because it is viewed as a luxury too expensive for the average person to afford. Our friends at Bluefly are out to dispel that myth with plenty of affordable and stylish cashmere sweaters, hats, gloves and scarves from top designers.

Many women would agree that a cashmere sweater is one such "must-have" for the Fall and Winter seasons, which is why this cashmere fitted crewneck sweater from Hayden is such a time-tested classic. Originally $240 and now marked down to $79.95, Cashbaq members will enjoy an extra savings of $2.40, making the final price a thrifty $77.55!

Best sandals ever

So, not too long ago I wrote about all the fabulous products available at IslandSurf.com. Now that I finally made my first purchase there I can rave about how happy I am with my new Rainbow sandals.

I've lived in Southern California for most of my life and attended school at UC Santa Barbara, so I am well accquainted with the concept of wearing flip-flops in settings other than the beach. In fact, while in college it was quite common to see people wearing flip-flops at parties, class and even out in the bar scene. And it wasn't just surfers who wore them. In Santa Barbara (and to a larger extent, all of Southern California) flip-flops are part of the standard issue uniform, almost as important as a hip pair of jeans or vintage t-shirts. The problem for me was always that prolonged use of my sandals wouldn't always leave my feet pain-free.

Holiday gifts for music lovers (part 1)

Music is one of those gifts that always sounds like a good idea, but is usually very difficult to shop for. How do you know if the gift you buy is a) something the recipient likes or b) something they don't already own? As someone who is a fan of music in all forms, I understand how frustrating this can be for both the gift giver and the receiver. During most of my youth I would periodically receive gift cards for record stores, usually for the major chains like Sam Goody and (the now defunct) The Wherehouse. This ultimately would result in me pulling my hair out for over an hour while I tried in vain to find something worth buying in their limited and expensive music selection. The whole exercise usually ended in the purchase of blank tapes (remember those days?) or a CD case. In order to prevent a similar fate from happening to you this year, I have put together a small list of my favorite gifts this holiday season for music lovers.

Holiday gifts for music lovers (part 2)

Yesterday I posted the first of my two part list of Holiday gift suggestions for music lovers. My goal is to make it easier to find your friends/family a personal gift that is much more unique than a boring gift certificate. Music is such a deeply personal form of expression for so many people that often times finding the perfect album or introducing someone to a new artist can be a very gratifying experience. For a serious music lover receiving the right gift signals to them your knowledge of their tastes and personality is vast enought to find them something they can appreciate on a deeper level than something material. Consider this handy guide a cheat sheet for those of you who have no earthly idea how to pick a gift like that. So, without further ado here is the rest of the list.

Casa Sugar

We just found an odd one. The Team Sugar folks are launching a new site, CasaSugar, and have a sweepstakes with West Elm. That's not the odd part. What seems strange is that there are sweepstakes flyers in the West Elm catalogs but the Casa Sugar site isn't live. When it is, you can register for the $5,000 WestElm Sweepstakes.

Until then, sign up at Cashbaq and save when you shop at your favorite online stores. Plus, you'll get a $5 sign up bonus!

Jewelry Televisions Valuable Gemstones & Jewelry

Jewelry Television is a great source for finding unique gemstones such as Alexandrite, increasingly valuable gemstones like Tanzanite and gemstones you can't find at your local jewelry store, namely Andesine-Labradorite .

JTV http://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html , as they are otherwise known as, also has a vast array of what I call Ready-to-Wear Jewelry (R-T-W). I have never seen such low prices for high-quality jewelry. Any piece of jewelry you may want to acquire, both men and women's and now children's, JTV has it. There are so many wonderful choices of jewelry for every age and taste.

JTV has immense buying power. When their buyer's descend on the "World Market" to buy jewelry & gemstones, they can spend millions of dollars to do so. Whether it is diamonds, rare colored gemstones, pearls or your birthstone, Again, JTV has it. It is hard to not shop everyday! Just remember to go to Cashbaq.com first.

JTV is the #1 seller of loose gemstones and you can save even more with Cashbaq.com, JTV is #1 supplier of rare colored gemstones and therefore the largest selling source to find Andesine http://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html, otherwise know as Green and Red Labradorite. JTV purchased more than 80% of what little was available out in the world market. It is a gemstone from origins "unknown" (rumored to be the Congo) and is quickly becoming a "played" out gemstone. A played out gemstone means no more rough is being mined that can produce faceted gemstones ior anything of gemstone quality. With nothing available, this gemstone will command thousands of dollars per carat, more than it already commands (Rumored to be $3,500 a carat for the green and $3,000 for the Red). Now is the time to buy any Red, Green and now Yellow Labradorite http://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html you can get your hands on.

'Why? Not only is the gemstone not available according to the buyer's but because it is getting ready to be launched as the Offical Gemstone of the 2008 Olympics. The announcement hasn't been legally announced by the Olympic Officials, so JTV http://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html cannot legally tell you this information but it has been known for months that anyone can put in 2008 Andesine http://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html and read the information. When that announcement is made, this gemstone will skyrocket in value higher than its current market values previously quoted. The high demand will quickly deplete what little is left of this gemstone and then Andesine will join the ranks of Alexandrite and Pariba Tourmalinehttp://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html.

Saving the best for last, Tanzanite http://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html, a jewel that surpasses all jewels in beauty, value and unfortunately now, availability. In years past, JTV had trays and trays of it, but in 2004 Tanzanite was declared a "Generational Gemstone", meaning that it is only available during one generation. Discovered in 1967 in Tanzania, Africa, it was first marketed by Tiffany in the US and was relatively unknown for decades. It has only been in the new millenium that Tanzanite became educated further in the US but now the world market. Given that the mine site is only 4 square miles, it is feared that the "gold mind known as Tanzanite" will soon be gone.

After 40 years, the rough is depleting to the Grade AA or A, light purple clear to clear purple. Not what is the best representation of this truly remarkable gemstone. Also determined in 2004 was that since this gemstone has not been discovered elsewhere, it only has about 7 to 10 years left before the mine is played out. JTV experts think that figure is closer to 3 to 5 years, at most. How do they know this? Well, if Tanzanite was still producing top gem Grade AAA quality gems, why are the site holders buying up all the AAA quality gemstones they sold to vendors at the World Gemstone Shows in 2007? Why are vendors trying to buy up JTV's top color gemstones? Because other markets are now discovering Tanzanite and are willing to pay 3 times what we in the US of A were willing to pay for it. It is estimated that right now, the market value is $3,500 per carat for stones reaching the magic carat shape of 1 carat. In the next year to come, the rate will probably increase $1,000 per quarter and eventually command $10,000 per carat someday.

The oversee markets (Dubai, Hong Kong, Europe, etc.) are buying this gemstone for investment purposes and can clearly afford to have their own unique jewelry made with the rest. The US took this stone for granted and because of that, we now have to pay more for it. The only affordable gemstone retailer is JTV http://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html. They aren't selling it for $3,500 per carat, yet. This is because of their immense buying power, when they buy it at a low price, it is their mission to pass those savings along to you, the consumer.

JTV had a considerable loose gemstone Tanzanite inventory. The Buyer's & Founder's of JTV foresaw where this gemstone was going and bought any rough & calibrate stones they could get their hands on. If you look online, you will see they still have the gem but not the quantities they used to have. Its saving grace is that this is the only site where it is affordable for everyone. That will change, Supply and Demand...

So, get great jewelry, gemstones, collectibles as well as the tools to make your own jewelry from the #1 source who has it all, JTV http://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html. You won't be sorry. The company also has a wonderful return policy, 30 days, no questions asked. Their Customer Care Department is top-notch and the Hosts of the shows are extremely knowledgeable and pass that information along to you. JTV tries to stay one year ahead of market, just one of the ways they predict how a gemstone is going to sell and how long it will sell at that price.

I love JTV. Sure not everything is to my liking once I get it. Sometimes it is: "You get what you pay for" in regards to their R-T-W Jewelry. They don't create every piece of jewelry they sell. They often buy close-outs from other jewelers to help out the little guy and some jewelry they do make and sell. Whichever the case, when they get a good deal, they pass along the savings to you. They are extremely appreciative of their Customer's loyalty and reward them accordingly. You can't beat their prices and if your smart enough, you'll listen to their advice on gemstones and buy what they are telling you before you want to kick yourself in the ...!
Happy Shopping with Jewelry Televisionhttp://www.cashbaq.com/JTV-coupons-1406.html!

Macy's really has stars!

Macy's, a department store that has their original icon of flagship store in New York City, has always been held as the standard bearer for quality Cothing and Merchandise for your home. They have upped the ante and brought in "Stars" to make your shopping experience one of a kind...

As many of you have probably noticed, major department stores have been disappearing over the last few years and it seems like we are left with the all-in-one, discount stores (Sears & JC Penney's) or the high-end stores (Sak's, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's), leaving only two retailers in the "middle", Nordstrom's and Macy's http://www.cashbaq.com/macy's-couponsb-544-html. I would venture to say that Macy's is pulling ahead of Nordstom's in quality and selection with their new star power.

How? By bringing in the "Stars" from movies, to music to millionaires, Not the red star logo or decorations of stars but the star power of celebrities. Macy's brought in the "big guns" in Retail Clothing & Accessories, Home and Fashion Brands and using those star's names to elevate them to "ultimate stardom status".

While they have always carried the most popular brands & designer brands, they have now signed on such Designers as Tommy Hilfiger, Sean John (P Diddy), KLS (Ms. Kimora Lee Simmons Line), Donald Trump Ties, Kenneth Cole, Carlos Santana and Jessica Simpson Shoes. Mariah Carey and Usher fragrances to Martha Stewart Cookware, Home Decor and her Bedding. Not only do they carry these lines but the actual "stars" appear in their commercials.

It seems like one big happy family at Macy's. The "stars" are out and their stores are doing better than ever. You can be shopping like a star by using your Cashbaq.com account and then clicking on Macy's for all your shopping needs. You currently receive a 5% cash back discount and you may even find some "upfront" savings when you choose a particular coupon on the Macy's sign-in page.

Shopping online is easier than ever. And while with every online store or catalog, not all items are shown on their website, you can contact Macy's Customer Service and request a Personal Shopper who will track down any item you have seen in their stores or are looking for and would like to know if you can purchase it through Macy's. You become the star!

That is just one of the many exciting additions Macy's has added to their services and selections. They send at least (2) emails a week to Macy's credit card holders with special online sales, so take advantage of the sales just for you! Just don't forget to log into Cashbaq.com first and then click on the coupon of your choice and begin shopping & enjoy! http://www.cashbaq.com/Macy's-coupons-544.html
