How to use If you have questions about how to use Cashbaq, please read the questions below. We have tried to answer the most common questions we get from members. If you can't find the answer to your question, please contact us. The basic gist is that we work hard to make sure we report every order you make through Cashbaq, fix it as quickly as possible when you send us information about missing orders, send you checks (or Paypal) when your balance hits $10 as long as you've told us where to send it and are speeding up payment to you as much as possible. We're not perfect but the good news is that we're human and we're here to help.

What is Cashbaq?

Cashbaq is a way for you to get paid on every purchase you make. Unlike other rewards programs like credit cards you can earn as much as 50% on purchases you might be making anyway. We offer cash back on almost 3,000 stores and services. No joke.

What's the catch? Is this a scam?

No. We pay you for shopping with us. Really. When you place an order at one of our online stores, we pay you. We’ve been doing just that since 2005 (originally just by check but we added PayPal a couple of years ago). There is no catch. Here’s the deal: Stores pay us when you shop using the links on Cashbaq. We share that commission with you. In most cases, it's 60% or more.

Membership
Why do I need to sign-up for Cashbaq?

You need to be logged in so you can shop or share. We want you to earn cash back on every purchase, and need to be able to credit your account to pay you when you shop at any of our nearly 3,000 stores and services. You also need to sign-up to participate in our shopping community conversations.

How much does Cashbaq cost to join and use?

Cashbaq is free. It is free to join, shop, and get paid. Even better, we start your account with a $5 bonus and never charge you a penny!

Will you send me SPAM or junk email?

Not a chance! We hate getting spam just as much as you do. Your information when you [sign up] is private and confidential. Under no circumstances will we sell your information to anyone. We feel so strongly about this that we had our Privacy Policy certified by TRUSTe.

Do you really need my email?

Yes, without it, we would have no idea who to pay. It is the only way we can send you a new password, should you forget or lose your old one. Plus, we send hot deals and other information in our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time. Plus, if you use a bogus e-mail address, we’ll have to close your account and you’ll lose your cash back rebates.

How do I cancel my Cashbaq membership?

Click here to cancel your membership. We hate to see you go. Tell us if there is anything else we can do to keep you as a valued member.

Getting Paid
Do I need to sign-up with Cashbaq to get paid?

Yes. You must be a registered member to shop and earn at Cashbaq.

Do you really need my address?

Yes and no. Yes, if you want to be paid by check. We cannot send it without your full name and a valid mailing address. No, if you would prefer to get paid via PayPal. Then we just need the e-mail address you use for PayPal. But we would like you to tell us your name so we don’t have to say “Hi Cashbaq Member” at parties.

How do I request payment?

You don’t. Cashbaq pays around the 20th of every month when your payable balance is $10 or more so long as we know how to pay you. That means that if we have either (a) your name and mailing address or (b) a valid PayPal email address, we’ll pay you. There’s no reason to make you take an extra step to get paid. We want to pay you as much as we can as soon as we can!

Why does it list my Cashbaq rebates as pending?

We want to pay you your Cashbaq rebates as soon as we can. Simply put, we can't pay you until our partner store confirm that your order was placed and not returned. Until your order is confirmed as final, it will show up as "Pending." It can take up to 120 days after the end of the month you place your order for stores to process returns and cancellations. During this period your transaction will show up as pending. Right now we change transactions from pending to Payable 3 months after the end of the month in which you place your order. We are working to reduce this time so that you get paid as fast as possible.

Will I still get cash back if I cancel my order?

No. In most cases any changes to your original order will result in your cash back being voided. When a return or exchange is processed the store usually cancels the old order completely and creates a new order to record the transaction. When this occurs, the commission associated with the old order gets reversed, which means we have no way of crediting you for that sale. Since the store does not associate this new order with Cashbaq in any way we won't be paid a commission on it and therefore have no earnings to pass back on to you.

If you would like to exchange merchandise that you have purchased through Cashbaq, return your order for a refund. Then, log back into your Cashbaq account and re-place the order. Canceling an order will result in the voiding of your Cashbaq rebates.

Is there a limit to how much I can get paid?

No! The sky is the limit. The more you shop with us the more you earn. If you simply login before any purchases you are thinking about making, you will get cash back rewards for practically anything you order online. 

How to Shop With Us
How do I shop at Cashbaq?

It's simple.

  1. Go to Cashbaq.
  2. Login to your account.
  3. Find the store, product, or brand you want, and click over to that site.
  4. Shop!

Your cash back will automatically be applied to your account. Once you reach $10 in earning (that’s only $5 more than the money we put in your account), you will receive payment from us in the form of a check or PayPal. Click here to change your payment preference.

Why do my Cashbaq rebates not show up when I am checking out of a store?

Cashbaq is a shopping site that specializes in getting you great deals for online stores you love to shop at. We have developed relationships with some of the best stores out there, but we do not actually sell their products. To see how much in Cashbaq rebates you have accumulated you must log in to your Cashbaq account.

Why doesn't my cash back show up immediately in my account?

Please be patient. Most stores verify the order you placed within a few days, although some can be delayed as long as 45 days (more for some categories such as hotels which require you to complete your stay to be confirmed). Your rebates will not appear in your account until we have received confirmation of your order from the store.

It's been a while and I still do not see my earnings! What do I do?

If after 7-10 days you still are not being credited for your order, please send us a Transaction Inquiry, so that we can investigate this for you. If you submit it with a date that doesn’t match your order date (e.g. within 7 days from your order date), we won’t be able to help you.

Are gift certificates eligible for cash back?

Sometimes. When stores are willing to pay for gift certificate purchases, we pass the rebates on to you. In some cases, we can only give rebates for the portion of the sale that was not made with a gift card or certificate (e.g. if you are making a $100 purchase at a store and are using a $20 gift card we can only reward you cash back on the $80 portion of the sale that was not covered by the gift card).

How about Free Trials?
Are there any other actions that may invalidate my cash back?

Yes. First and foremost, make sure that you click from Cashbaq to the store, and follow and restrictions. Sometimes using coupons not found on Cashbaq can invalidate you getting a cash rebate from us. Stick with our deals, and we will offer the best there is.

I know I accidentally shopped at another site. Will I still get my Cashbaq earnings?

No. We encourage our members to look around for the best deals out there, but cannot stress enough that you must go directly from the Cashbaq to the store you are ordering from. This is the only way we can ensure that you get paid, and the only way for us to know you made that purchase.

How is the Cashbaq reward for each store calculated?

For each store or service there is either a percent or dollar amount listed on the site. For stores with a percent discount, we calculate your cash back from the qualifying items in your order (there is a restriction listed if certain items or categories are excluded by the store) by multiplying the subtotal of your order by the percentage. The subtotal of your order is the amount you pay for products, meaning that items like tax, shipping and coupons are not eligible for cash back rebates. For dollar off amounts it is the same no matter what you buy.

I saw Deal of the Day, but missed it. Can I still buy it at that price?

Our deals are subject to what our stores and services offer. Many times we have time restricted offers that are only limited to the quantities a store may have on hand.

Refer-A-Friend
How do I refer my friends to shop?

You can earn 10% of what your friends earn, 5% of what their friends earn, and 2% of what their friends earn. You just need to send them a Cashbaq link that contains your Refer-A-Friend ID. If they sign up through your link, we’ll credit your account with a bonus for all of their orders. To ensure their privacy, we only give you the amount your bonus. We can’t give you information about which friend it was or the store they shopped at.

What if I just want to spread the word about how great Cashbaq is?

If you have referred most of your friends, you can still get paid for referrals by posting badges on your blog or personal websites by clicking here.

Your Member Profile
Why do I need a member profile?

So other Cashbaq members can help you save! We do our best to provide the best cash back offers, coupons, and deals. Sometimes you need more, and your fellow shoppers are your best resource. They can tell you how they got the best deal, what buying the item was like, and how it works. If you don’t want anyone to know your name, just pick a Cashbaq user name and that’s all that will show.

Do I have to submit a picture of myself?

No. We supply you with some fun images to use when you signup. Of course, it’s more fun if you use your own picture.

Discussion
What can I review?

You can love, hate or rate stores. You can also open discussions on a variety of topics by clicking the “Discuss” tab at the top of any merchant page.

Can I post about things I don't like?

Yes. So long as you are respectful of other members, you should feel free to talk about why you had a bad experience at any of our stores or services. We believe that honest really is the best policy. Would you really believe that there is absolutely nothing negative about any store? Neither would we. Of course, we hope you’ll have a lot of positive things to say about the stores and services on Cashbaq.

Why can't I post to certain topics?

You can write a comment on any topic, but only Verified Store Reps can start discussions on certain topics (e.g. Store News).

How do I become a Verified Store Rep?

If you work for one of our merchants please click here. You must be logged in to do this. We will then verify that you do in fact represent the store and approve you. Verified Store Reps are marked as such on the stores they represent. They look like the rest of us on every other store.

Does Cashbaq ever remove any conversations?

Most of the time no. However we reserve the right to take down or disapprove messages that are distasteful or inappropriate.
