Best prices on name brand shoes
I just found the 65% off all Old Friend coupons and jumped all over that. I had a pair of Old Friend furry slippers a while back...best thing I ever put on my feet, no contest. Awaiting arrival just before the weather cools off! >>
Found my slippers
In preparation for the lean winter months, I was looking for a good slipper/house shoe but couldn't find anything to satisfy all my needs. I finally decided on getting a furry pair of Crocs (yeah, I know...Crocs. These are incredibly comfortable and warm!) but couldn't find the right size and color combo. You know where this is going, Shoes.com had exactly what I was looking for, plus I got 10% back, used a 15% off coupon, and got free shipping. All of which were fine by me. >>
Messed up my Apple Care
Hmm, this is kind of a strange circumstance. I was having trouble accessing my network settings and called to check up on the status of my Apple Care. I purchased it when I got my computer, but never activated it. I was hoping to do so retroactively, which I was under the impression was possible. After calling Apple phone support, explaining my situation, and giving all the necessary info, I waited on hold for about 15 mins while the talked to the appropriate people. Unable to sort out the problem, she transferred me personally to those appropriate people, and after giving a few more bits of info, and being asked to hold numerous times (I made a trip to the grocery store with my phone on speaker, that's how much time I had), I got the verdict: they did not have my computer on file as being sold, and hence had no record of Apple care...hmmm. This was interesting. Needless to say, the problem was not solved. Although I did not enjoy being on hold for so long (what totaled to over an hour), this was not at the fault of the reps, though it would have been nice if the gave me some indication as to what was going on before the end of that hour. I'm not sure how I feel about the situation. Like I said, this was in no way the fault of the reps, they were pleasant and did what they could (which was little), but reflects poorly on the company at the actual time of the purchase. If it were my company, and someone clearly purchased a product and something in the data entry side of things on our end inconvenienced them, I would do what I could to figure it out...my network settings are still giving me problems. >>
Apple Store = candy store
I would say for the most part I have been happy with the quality of my Apple products, though recently I have been experiencing issues with my aging computer, and when I called Apple to get the problem figured out through AppleCare, I discovered a whole new set of problems I had with that service. This had to do with the sale of my computer not being properly documented within their system. The reps on the phone were nice (though I waited on hold for nearly 1 hr) and did all they could, but ultimately the problem went unsolved.. >>
